Raw Tuna from Tahiti

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 300g fresh tuna

  • Juice of 8 limes

  • 1 large onion

  • 1 green bell pepper

  • 1 tomato

  • 1/2 cucumber

  • 1 glass coconut milk

  • Black pepper

  • Bora Bora Sea Salt with Coconut


Method

1. Prepare the ingredients.
Gather and measure all ingredients before starting.

2. Prepare the tuna.
Cut the tuna into half-inch cubes, rinse gently in fresh water, drain, and place in a large bowl.
(You may add a little salt to the water, depending on taste.)

3. Marinate.
Squeeze the limes and pour the juice over the tuna. Mix well and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes.

4. Prepare the vegetables.
Thinly slice the onion and green bell pepper. Dice the tomato. Remove seeds from the cucumber and cut into thin half-moons.

5. Combine and season.
Drain some of the lime juice, then add the vegetables. Season with black pepper and Bora Bora Sea Salt with Coconut.

6. Finish and serve.
Five minutes before serving, add the coconut milk, mix gently, and serve well chilled.
